I can't say enough wonderful things about Saagar and not JUST the food, but the service here. Incredible.
I was back in Cali for a week on family business and you all know the foodie I am -so when given the opportunity to choose dinner out, I wanted comfort food and for me, the warm and vibrant cuisine of India is always on my list. We walked in without reservations and I think, because it was so late dinner guests were already wrapping up and leaving, so Hubby and I pretty much the restaurant to ourselves.
We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (level medium), garlic naan, vegetarian samosas, rice and I love chickpeas to that was my veg, we also ordered ice water and 2 large bottles of ice cold Taj.
As you can see the decor is stunning, I seriously couldn't get over the concept and beauty. Our server was so polite and friendly he was attentive made sure our order was perfect. Chicken was tender and the sauce was so flavorful, so bright and warm, the naan was pillows of happiness that I used to scoop up my rice and chicken and just indulge in its flavors. My husband really loved the dinner and the chickpeas, which surprised me, he usually passes on vegetables.
The restaurant is a littler hard to find at night, but if you are in the area, you really need to stop here and have a really amazing dinner. They also have a lunch buffet, so if this cuisine is new to you, give their lunch a try, you are bound to fins something you like. -

Best Indian food in Southern California! The food is always fresh and consistent, and every dish is flavorful. They have the most delicious desserts. Also, There are a lot of options for vegetarians.
Thank you for all the amazing meals! Customers for life :) -

This place is like a dream come true. As soon as you step in you see the marvelous decorations, the awesome ocean theme. The decorated booth was a little over the top.
The food at Saagar was amazing, delicious and extremely satisfying. We had the Chicken Tikka Masalas spicy level 7, with complimentary rice. We ordered the Nan bread which was amazing and the Chana Masala was a savory vegetarian dish we really enjoyed. The services was second to none, as our waiter was very attentive and very friendly. The bill was CHEAP, and for the quality of food we had and how delicious is was and the excellent service, how can you not love this place!

Absolutely tasteless food. Once confronted for extra salty food, they'll do whatever possible to get away from the situation and would blame the online food delivery guys for their own blame. Disrespectful behavior and the last thing they said on phone was - We don't care.
Good luck to everyone ordering food from this restaurant. -

Loved it. Best Indian food ever. Lamb was a bit gamey but over all great meal.
We ordered and shared the non vegetarian combo platter for two. $56 with tax and included beer.
